Online Applications

Please make sure all questions are completed. Take care to review all forms before submitting them through the portal. Any incomplete forms will not be processed.
We must have ALL forms completed and ALL supplementary documents before processing an application.

Application forms and supplementary documents can be uploaded through the PowerSchool portal. If you are experiencing any technical difficulties,
please contact the Enrolment Office at admissions@kingsway.college. Carefully review all the instructions below before proceeding.

 

Note: all applications are expected to be received online, except for applications applying through an agent. If applicable, please contact your agent for next steps.

Part I: Documents Needed

During the application process, we require the following documents for all applicants:

  • Student Passport (optional for Canadians)

  • Student Birth Certificate

  • Complete Immunization Records

  • Transcript (if currently in grade 9-11); Report Cards (if currently in grade 8); 

  • Individual Education Plan (IEP) if applicable. Please make sure to contact the V.P. Academic if the applicant needs educational accommodations.

Canadian Applicants

  • Health Card

  • SIN number (if student is working)

International Applicants

  • Copy of each Notarized Custodian Forms: IMM 5646

  • Required documents before attending classes - bring files to Enrolment Department for photocopying:

    • Study Permit

    • Student VISA and Date of Entry Stamp (found in Passport)

 

Part II: Application through PowerSchool

Pre-registration

  1. Fill in the Pre-Registration form.

  2. Once approved by the Admissions department, you will receive an email with steps on how to create a parent portal.

    • The confirmation email will contain a code (bottom of email) to connect your child’s pre-registration information to your parent account

    • If you have an errors, please contact the school clearly describing your error for assistance.

    NOTE: Emergency contacts MUST be someone other than a parent. All emergency contacts will be called to confirm their role as emergency contact.

Forms A-E:

APPlication

  1. Log into your parent portal through PowerSchool

    • This can be done through the website (computer) or using the PS application (Android / Apple).

    • Kingsway College’s district code is: TRJQ

  2. On the side menu (bottom ≡ ”More” on app), select Forms.

  3. Select the Enrollment tab (dropdown menu option in app)

  4. You will see Forms A-D, which need to be completed for your student’s application

    • Please fill in all required fields

    • The Consents and Commitments form stipulates that you have read the Student Handbook. The following link will send you to the Student Handbook document. Please make sure you and your student have read and understood the contents.

    • Students must have a valid Health Card with them at all times while attending Kingsway College. Otherwise a fee of $50 will be incurred for every doctor’s visit.

  5. Once completed, submit each form accordingly.

NOTE: If you are having problems uploading documents, please package them together into a single email to the admissions department.

  • There are instructions on the first page for the applicant and the recommender.

  • This form MUST be filled out by the principal or vice-principal of the student’s current school. The form must be returned by the school to Kingsway College (instructions on form) with a Credit Counselling Summary or Transcript.

Form 7:

Consent for Potassium Iodide

In the event of an accident at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station emergency procedures are in place for students to be administered potassium iodide pills. This form is to indicate consent (or non-consent) if such an event were to occur.

This form comes from the Durham Region Health Department. Make sure you read both sides of the form.

This form is form Dorm Students ONLY. It is to help the deans in pairing students. This file is not included in the complete application download. It is your responsibility to download and complete the file.

PLEASE NOTE: This does NOT mean that this survey asks for your preference but does not guarantee your roommate will fulfill all the characteristics you have noted on the survey.
